Bakutchi (ぼむっち Bomutchi) is a male teen in the "Cheerful Family" that debuted on the Tamagotchi Connection Version 5.

Name Origin

His Japanese name is literally romaji of the word "Bomb". Internationally, his name is "Bakutchi", where "Baku" can mean "explosive or exciting". A similar renaming of a Bandai product character happened, with a BomberNanimon in Digimon Data Squad being made into an orange like BomberNanimon called Citramon in the dub. Both Bakutchi and BomberNanimon had something to do with bombs. BomberNanimon is also based on Nanimon, who is based on Oyajitchi, even sharing almost identical happy sprites in the monochrome v-pets.

Personality

Bakutchi is usually loud and exciting, and in top condition. But when his fire on his head extinguishes, he becomes "Sizumutchi" who surprises everyone with his lack of energy.
