Chestnut Angel (くりてん Kuriten) is an adult character who debuted on the Tamagotchi Angel.

Chestnut Angel was present in the 15th Anniversary Character Poll with updated artwork, presented as a possible female candidate.

Appearance and Personality

Chestnut Angel has a pointed head with a swirl, resembling a chestnut. She has arms, legs, a halo and a pair of wings. She is naturally flesh-colored, but the Tamagotchi L.i.f.e. Angel app includes yellow and pink variations.

Chestnut Angel is always cheerful, and likes to use a stick when praying. She is sworn enemies with Deviltchi, and often chases him out of the Tenshitchi Capital.

Appearances on Virtual Pets

Tamagotchi Angel

Chestnut Angel is obtained from taking perfect care of Tamatchi Angel, and will evolve into the Twin Angels if perfect care is persistent, and AP is consistently high. It wakes up at 8 AM, sleeps at 9 PM, and its highest AP is 80.

Debirutch no Tamagotch

Chestnut Angel can appear randomly during the day or night, floating through the screen. The chance of seeing Chestnut Angel increases as Devil Power is lowered. Clione Deviltchi's ending shows a Chestnut Anges escorting Clione Deviltchi away to the Tenshitchi Capital.

Keitai and Akai

Chestnut Angel makes a cameo appearance on the Keitai Kaitsuu Tamagotchi Plus, as well as the Akai. If the player purchases a special grave (worth 5000 Gotchi Points), and the Tamagotchi later dies, a pair of Chestnut Angels descend and carry the Tamagotchi away. The special grave and Chestnut Angel replace Obaketchi on the death screen.

Chestnut Angel makes a similar cameo appearance on the color Tamagotchis when the Tamagotchi character dies.

Appearances in Tamagotchi Media

Anime TV de Hakken!! Tamagotchi

In episode 9 of Anime TV de Hakken!! Tamagotchi, a Chestnut Angel, accompanied by a Takotchi Angel and a Chubby Angel, escort an Obaketchi to the Tenshitchi Capital. Later, when Deviltchi appears and harasses the newly-evolved Ginjirotchi Angel, Chestnut Angel wards him off, riding a shooting star and attacking him with a bow and arrow.

Name Origin

Chestnut Angel's Japanese name, "Kuriten", is derived from the Japanese word "kuri", which means chestnut.
