Akaspetchi (アカスペっち Akasupetchi), also known as Akaspacetchi in the English version of Tamagotchi!, is a male adult Tamagotchi. He is part of the Spacy Brothers and he is younger than Spacytchi and older than Pipospetchi. Akaspetchi debuted in the Tamagotchi! anime. On the virtual pets, he debuted on the Princess Spacy version of the Tamagotchi iD L.
Name Origin[]
Akaspetchi's name comes from "Aka" and "Spe/Supe". "Aka" is taken from Akai, which means red. "Supe" is taken from Supesu, which means space.

Appearance[]
Akaspetchi's appearance is very similar to Spacytchi, who resembles a anglerfish. Akaspetchi is smaller, and he has a red, tear-shaped body. He has oval-shaped blue eyes with no visible pupils. He has a yellow beak, and cannot close or open his mouth properly when he talks; his four teeth are always visible. His legs are white, and his arms are light gray with mitten-like hands. He has a tiny, gold sphere on the top of his head.
Personality[]
Akaspetchi is the smart and mature brother. He is sometimes seen as friendly and nice, but is as evil as his big brother Spacytchi. However, he gets afraid easily and starts panicking. Spacytchi usually ignores him at first, but soon everyone gets nervous because Akaspetchi makes up frightening explanations for things. He believes in ghosts and aliens because he thinks TV shows are real, which is the reason he panics easily.
When talking to his big brother Spacytchi, Akaspetchi always gets confused or speaks his own mind which ends up making his big brother mad; Spacytchi then starts shouting at him to understand or to stop talking. In Tamagotchi! Miracle Friends, he gets a crush on Pekopekotchi. In GO-GO Tamagotchi!, he gets a crush on Neenetchi.
In the Japanese version of Tamagotchi!, Akaspetchi often says de yansu (〜でヤンス) at the ends of his sentences, which is a onomatopoeia word, similar to Pipospetchi's "pipopapo" (ピポパポ). He also calls Spacytchi "Aniki", which is a Japanese honorific for an older brother. Spacytchi often calls him "Aka", for short.

Akaspetchi is exclusive to the Princess Spacy version of the Tamagotchi iD L, being obtained from Happabouyatchi with 6+ care mistakes. He is the worst care character in this version.
Tamagotchi m!x[]
Akaspetchi is a NPC exclusive to the Spacy version of the Tamagotchi m!x. He can be encountered in Spacy Land.
Tamagotchi Smart[]
Akaspetchi and Pipospetchi appear as NPCs exclusive to the Anniversary Party Friends TamaSma Card. They can be seen when the Aka Pipo Plushies item is used.
In the Anime[]
Akaspetchi appears in all four series of the Tamagotchi anime with Spacytchi and Pipospetchi. He is usually working with Spacytchi to enact evil plans to take over Tamagotchi Planet. However, the plans usually fail due to Spacytchi's incompetence and the brothers' misunderstanding of Tamagotchi culture.

Akaspetchi and his brothers
Akaspetchi first appears in "Get Ready! The Big Race on Tama Street" where he joins Spacytchi and Pipospetchi in the race on Tama Street, intending to win and use the attention to announce their takeover of Tamagotchi Planet. While they win, no one is at the finish line, having left to watch Mametchi and KuroMametchi rescue Kuchipatchi. In the next episode "Tamagotchi School's Transfer Student", he enrolls in Tamagotchi School and gets placed into Chamametchi's class with Pipospetchi.
When everyone but the Spacy Brothers mysteriously disappeared in "Beep Beep! Ready to Take Over Tamagotchi Planet!", Akaspetchi freaks out and makes up multiple theories for how everyone disappeared. While Spacytchi does not believe him at first, Akaspetchi's insistence that something scary must have gotten everyone eventually makes him terrified and they accept that they'll disappear too. However, they later run into Necktietchi who explains that everyone is just lying down at home for Roll on the Floor day.
In "Merry! Spacey! Christmas", Spacytchi explains to his brothers that if they act good, Santaclautchi will reward them with a present they want. Akaspetchi and Pipospetchi end up working at the Tamagotchi Department Store handing out Santa hats to passerbys. After Spacytchi fails to do his good deed, the two comfort him and resign themselves to not getting a present that year. In the next episode "Happy Happy! Illumination", Santaclautchi gives them a Christmas cake after they helped power Mametchi's machine to light up Tamagotchi Town.
When Spacytchi falls in love with Agetchi in "Age~? Spacytchi's Love", Akaspetchi and Pipospetchi are against it as it distracted Spacytchi from their goal of taking over Tamagotchi Planet. However, the two eventually accept Spacytchi's crush and later help him confess his love to Agetchi. When Agetchi reveals that she is in a relationship with Necktietchi, Akaspetchi and Pipospetchi comfort Spacytchi.
The Spacy Brothers' hideout is rediscovered by Mametchi and friends in "Spacey Panic Emergency!?". They are unhappy about their home not being a secret anymore and try to hide the fact that they live there. When Kuchipatchi accidentally launches the tower into space, the Spacy Brothers are trapped on the ship with the Tama-friends and have to fix the ship while it travels back to Tamagotchi Planet. This culminates in Spacytchi going outside the ship to free the parachute from hatch door and getting his hand stuck in it. Pipospetchi and Akaspetchi rescue him before the ship enters the atmosphere and the ship safely lands back on the beach.
Spacytchi and his brothers decide to move out of Tamagotchi Town in "Farewell, Tama-Friends! Spacytchi's Tearful Decision" after Spacytchi realized that they became too attached to their friends and lost the will to take over Tamagotchi Planet. They pack up their things and get ready to leave on a journey to find themselves, but not before taking time to take pictures for memories. Later on, Akaspetchi celebrates Spacytchi's birthday at the surprise party thrown by their friends. After enjoying the party, they tell everyone that they're leaving which causes them to cry as they'll miss them very much. Seeing how much their friends care for them, Spacytchi and his brothers also cry which causes the Birthday Tama Heart to appear. That night, the Spacy Brothers decide to give up on taking over Tamagotchi Planet and stay in Tamagotchi Town. Unfortunately, Spacytchi accidentally launches their base into space and they are stuck orbiting Tamagotchi Planet.

Spacytchi is Akaspetchi's older brother. He is persistent on his evil goals, not giving up easily on anything he puts his mind to, Although he yells at Akaspetchi for confusing him or pointing out holes in his plans, Spacytchi still takes Akaspetchi input into account and respects him.
Pipospetchi[]

Pipospetchi is Akaspetchi's younger brother. He is kind and sweet, but has hidden malice which comes out whenever he suggests ideas to Spacytchi's plans. Akaspetchi and Spacytchi are often frightened by how dangerous his suggestions are.
