Gozarutchi is training hard to become a good ninja. Mametchi, Kikitchi, and Kuchipatchi decide to go to his training grounds to train with him. At first, they struggle with the various exercises, but then...
Plot[]
The episode begins with Mametchi and Kuchipatchi watching Kikitchi play a handheld video game after school. Kikitchi offers the video game to Gozarutchi, but he declines, saying that it's his training day. The others are curious so Gozarutchi takes them to his training area in the forest. Mametchi and Kuchipatchi are impressed, but Kikitchi is disappointed as he expected the area to be like an amusement park.
Gozarutchi proceeds to practice and demonstrate some of his ninja techniques, showing the the art of speeding lying, invisibility, and throwing stars. During the demonstrations, Mametchi, Kuchipatchi, and Kikitchi practice along with him, with varying results. Next, Gozarutchi demonstrates the art of water gliding and runs across the lake before falling into the water after running out of speed. Kikitchi chuckles, saying he knew it was impossible to run across water, but several moments pass with no sign of Gozarutchi. They begin calling for him, thinking that he drowned. Meanwhile, a thin tube sticking out the water approaches them and Gozarutchi then leaps out of the water to land next to them. He reveals that he just demonstrated the art of water immersion and that a ninja can use a reed straw to hide from his enemies until they are gone.
Mametchi and Kuchipatchi exclaim that his training is hard work and Kikitchi asks Gozarutchi if he can do something more flashy. He mentions seeing the ability to create copies of yourself and Gozarutchi responds that the art of shadow cloning is a difficult skill out of reach. Kikitchi then calls him boring and not a very good ninja, shocking Mametchi who calls him out on his callousness. Mametchi and Kuchipatchi say words of encouragement to Gozarutchi and Kikitchi asks him if he can make snacks appear since he's hungry. Gozarutchi shows them a ninja lunch which are four brownish-gray balls on a leaf. He explains that these are the power source of ninjas and the others apprehensively try it. At first, Mametchi and Kuchipatchi don't think much of it, but come to enjoy how sweet it is after chewing it longer. Kikitchi, however, doesn't like the food. Suddenly, a large tongue swipes the food from Kikitchi's hand which makes him look up and see a giant frog towering over him. Kikitchi panics and runs away.
Gozarutchi explains that the frog is Gamanosuke, his training partner, and that despite his size, he's really quite gentle. He hops on to his back and says that should look for Kikitchi who is seen running through a rocky valley. As Kikitchi runs, he stops to look behind him and sees Gamanosuke chasing after him. He continues running in panic and doesn't seem to hear his friends trying to calm him down. Eventually, Kikitchi reaches a hut full of ninja supplies. He thinks back to when Gozarutchi told them about how a ninja needs to be able to flee in the air or on water. The others arrive at the hut just as the roof is opening up and Kikitchi pops out riding a large kite shaped like Gozarutchi's head. However, the kite stops in midair and Kikitchi looks around and starts to get nervous as he is now stuck up in the air. As the others watch, Gozarutchi warns that the kite is under repairs and can't stand strong winds. A strong gust then knocks Kikitchi's kite about, and he cries out as he is tossed around and pieces start to break off. Gozarutchi runs ahead to help him and asks Mametchi and Kuchipatchi for their help.
Gozarutchi takes to the air on another kite as Mametchi and Kuchipatchi help control it with the string down below. He tells Kikitchi to jump over to his kite, but it is too far to make the jump. Mametchi and Kuchipatchi try to bring the kite closer, but the wind is too strong. Gamanosuke then steps in to hold the string down in place with his tongue. After a failed attempt to rescue Kikitchi with his spiderweb technique, Gozarutchi realizes that he must use his last resort: the art of shadow cloning. Clones appear in the air holding each other hands, duplicating until they reach Kikitchi who jumps off the kite to grab on to Gozarutchi. Kikitchi's kite falls to the ground and Kikitchi tearfully clings to Gozarutchi, revealing how scared he really was.
They reach the ground and Kikitchi is relieved at first, but starts panicking again once Gamanosuke holds him with his tongue. After struggling for a bit, he realizes that Gamanosuke is harmless and Gozarutchi explains that Gamanosuke is his friend. Mametchi and Kuchipatchi catch up to them and cheer for Gozarutchi's heroics. Suddenly, Kikitchi calls him master and bows down before him, asking if he can call him master from now on. The next day at school the boys are hanging out in the hallway when Kikitchi suddenly shouts out "master!" and runs towards them, asking Gozarutchi to teach him to be a ninja. Gozarutchi nervously exclaims that Kikitchi is back again and disappears in a smokescreen. Kikitchi catches up and looks around for Gozarutchi who'd rather hide from him.
