Tamagotchi no Narikiri Channel (たまごっちのなりきりチャンネル Tamagotchi no Narikiri Channeru) is a 2009 video game for the Nintendo DS developed by Dimps and released by Bandai Namco Games exclusively in Japan.

This was the first Tamagotchi video game to be based on the Tamagotchi! anime. The graphics are styled after the show and the minigames are based off episodes.

Players can choose between Mametchi or Lovelitchi as they try to become the top idol on Tamagotchi Planet.

Gameplay

In this game, the player is either Mametchi or Lovelitchi working at TAMAX-TV trying to become a super idol. The player will need to collect parts of a costume obtained from shops in Tama Street using money earned by staring in television programs to unlock more games and up their rank as an idol. You can also talk to passing-by Tamagotchi characters and see what they think of you as an idol.

Every time you star in a television program or go shopping for new costumes in Tama Street, your energy bar will decrease and you may need to refill the bar by buying food in Tama Street. If the player runs out of energy they will become exhausted and pass out waking up in their dressing room but will lose stars in popularity.

Skits and Costumes

Mametchi

1. TAMAX Music TV
   • Costume: Enka Singer
   • Gameplay: Mametchi will perform in front of an audience. Tap on the exclamation mark bubbles when they appear over audience member's heads. If you fail to tap them in time, the audience member becomes disappointed. Try to tap as many of the bubbles as you can before the timer runs out.
2. Anpan Detective
   • Costume: Detective
   • Gameplay: Chase Thief Papillon and apprehend her. Move Anpan Detective around the screen with the stylus. Chase Thief Papillon through the city and try to arrest her. Thief Papiyon will move through the city, stealing precious jewels on her way. When Anpan Detective arrests Thief Papillon, she will lose one of jewels. Then Anpan Detective and Thief Papillon will return to their original places in the city, and Anpan Detective must chase her and catch her again. You have to make a certain number of arrests before Thief Papillon collects a certain number of jewels. If you reach your goal, you win, but if Thief Papillon reaches her goal, you lose.
3. MameGotchiman
   • Costume: Gotchiman
   • Gameplay: Protect the city from the monster's rampage. Move MameGotchiman around the screen with the stylus. Catch the falling debris before it hits the ground. Each time a piece of debris hits the ground, the city's damage meter goes up. If the damage meets reaches 100%, you lose. If you can keep the meter from reaching 100% before the timer runs out, you win.
4. Tamagotchi From That Town
   • Costume: Nerd
   • Gameplay: Move Mametchi around the screen with the stylus. Travel through the town and pick up rare collectibles. Kuromametchi will also be traveling around the town and trying to get collectibles. You have to get more collectibles than Kuromametchi before the timer runs out. Sometimes Lovelitchi will appear in town. If you meet her, she gives your a power-up that increases your speed for a short time.
5. Together with Lovelitchi
   • Costume: Farmer
   • Gameplay: Mametchi will steadily move right as he cultivates the soil with his gardening hoe. You can move him up and down through three rows of dirt. Avoid rocks and holes in the ground and collect coins to move faster. You have to travel a certain distance before the timer runs out.
6. Vampire's Resurrection
   • Costume: Vampire
   • Gameplay: Help Vampire Mametchi make tomato juice. Pick tomatoes from the tomato plant and bring them to the blender. While Vampire Mametchi are flying back and forth, Sister Lovelin will throw garlic at him. If the garlic hits him, he turns into a bat and is slowed down for a few moments before turning back into a vampire. Sometimes Kuchipatchi will appear and try to drink some of the juice. Vampire Mametchi can block him from drinking it. You must successfully make tomato juice before the timer runs out to win.
7. My Master
   • Costume: Ninja
   • Gameplay: You have to move Ninja Mametchi across the river without getting noticed by Kuchipatchi on the bridge. Click on the 'Go' button to make Mametchi swim. Click on the Ninjitsu Art of Water Escape scroll to stop and hide underwater. When an exclamation mark appears over Kuchipatchi's head, you will have to hide. Kuchipatchi will look over the bridge to see if anyone's in the river. Hold the button down until Kuchipatchi looks away, then tap and hold the 'Go' button to keep progressing. If you don't press the button before Kuchipatchi looks, or if you let go of it before he looks away, Kuchipatchi will see Mametchi and his guards will capture him. You have to make it to the other side of river before the timer runs out without getting caught to win.
8. Marine Blue Legend
   • Costume: Pirate
   • Gameplay: Help Mametchi collect treasure. Send your mechanical claw down into the water, and maneuver it towards a treasure chest. Lift the treasure chest up to the surface to collect the coins inside of it. You have to collect at least a certain amount of coins before the timer runs out to win. Sometimes obstacles will appear in the water, such as fish. If they hit the treasure chest, it will fall back down to the sea floor. Bubbles can also envelop your claw and stop its movement. You have to tap the bubble with the stylus to make it pop. Sometimes a heart-shaped power-up will appear in the water. If you collect it, all of the obstacles on screen vanish for a short amount of time.
9. Tama Expedition
   • Costume: Explorer
   • Gameplay: Mametchi will travel across a narrow bridge over a bridge while holding a balance scale with treasure on each side. If one side starts to move downwards, tap the other side to make both sides balanced again. If the scale becomes too unbalanced, it and Mametchi will tip over. You have to make it all the way across the ravine to win.
10. Tama Sports
    • Costume: Baseball Player
    • Gameplay: When the ball is pitched to you, arrows will appear. You have to quickly swipe the stylus across the screen in the direction that the arrows are pointing. If you successfully complete all of the steps, you'll hit the ball. If not, you'll miss. You have to make a certain number of hits before the timer runs out.
11. Tamagotchi Magic
    • Costume: Wizard
    • Gameplay: Mametchi will begin levitating up through the air. You have to continuously swipe the stylus on Mametchi to make him keep moving. As Mametchi drifts left and right, you have to keep the stylus on him. Mametchi must reach the top of the waterfall before the timer runs out for you to win.
12. Investigation Tamago☆
    • Costume: Firefighter
    • Gameplay: Tap on the fires with the stylus spray water on them and put them out. If the hose runs out of water, you have to move the stylus up and down on the pump on the firetruck to pump more water into the hose. You can't let the fires get too big.
13. Gotchi・Gotchi・West
    • Costume: Gunslinger
    • Gameplay: Use the gun to fire treats towards the Tamagotchis. A Tamagotchi will appear at a window in the building. Each Tamagotchi has a specific item that they like. Fire the correct objects to each Tamagotchi. You have to make a certain number of correct shots before the timer runs out.
14. Gotchi Spirits
    • Costume: Monk
    • Gameplay: As the Tamagotchis meditate, they will start to daydream and get distracted. Use the stick to smack a Tamagotchi on the head and bring them back to focus. Each time you do you this, the statue in the back becomes brighter. You have to get the statue to a certain brightness to win. Avoid hitting the Tamagotchis when they aren't daydreaming.
15. T-1 Grand Prix
    • Costume: Racer
    • Gameplay: Move the race car left and right to avoid obstacles and pass other racers. Pass all of the other racers to get first place and win.
16. Gotchi Slices
    • Costume: Samurai
    • Gameplay: Swipe the stylus across the equipment to cut it. You must swipe in the direction of the line on the equipment. Sometimes bombs will appear. Make a horizontal swipe to cut the fuse and prevent the bomb from going off. When a stone appears, tap it repeatedly with the stylus to shape it into a stone. You must make a certain number of successful cuts before the timer runs out.
17. Space Debris
    • Costume: Astronaut
    • Gameplay: Move Mametchi around the screen using the stylus. Debris and asteroids will float around the screen. Move Mametchi to a piece of debris to collect it. If an asteroid hits Mametchi, he will be put in a daze for a short amount of time. Sometimes a heart-shaped power-up will appear. If you collect it, Mametchi becomes temporarily invincible for a short amount of time. You need to collect a certain number of debris pieces before the timer runs out to win.
18. Fun Science Experiments
    • Costume: Professor
    • Gameplay: Look at the item in the top right corner of screen. Then pick out the item from the bunch that matches and put it in the flask. If you add the wrong item, the flask explodes, and the game ends. You only have a short amount of time to put all of the ingredients in the flask. After you've added all of the correct items, then move the flask back and forth by swiping the stylus across it to mix up the liquid. You must complete a certain number of successful experiments to win.
19. Stylitchi's Exciting Behind the Scenes
    • Costume: Boom Operator, Football Player, Matador, Legendary Hero, King, Surfer, Magician, Speed Skater, Police Officer, Prince, Clown, Santa Claus
    • Gameplay: Help Mametchi change into the correct costume for the next show. An image of the costume will appear, and Stylitchi will bring out various clothes and props, which will move from right to left across the screen. As the items by, pick out the three items for the costume. If you choose a wrong item or fail to get all of the items in time, the game ends. You must complete three rounds to win.

Lovelitchi

1. TAMAX Music TV
   • Costume: Idol
   • Gameplay: Lovelitchi will perform the song Lovely Day in front of an audience. Tap on the exclamation mark bubbles when they appear over audience member's heads. If you fail to tap them in time, the audience member becomes disappointed. Try to tap as many of the bubbles as you can before the timer runs out.
2. Anpan Detective
   • Costume: Thief Papillon
   • Gameplay: Move Thief Papillon (Lovelitchi) around the city with the stylus. Try to obtain as many jewels as you can while avoiding Anpan Detective. You have to get a certain number of jewels before the timer runs out to win. If you run into Anpan Detective, he'll arrest you, and you'll lose one of your jewels. If you get arrested too many times, you lose.
3. MameGotchiman
   • Costume: Monster
   • Gameplay: As monster Lovelitchi moves through the city, swipe the stylus to make her destroy buildings. You must make a certain amount of progress before the timer runs out to win.
4. Tamagotchi From That Town
   • Costume: Maid
   • Gameplay: Draw pictures on the omelettes with ketchup. Look at the outline on the omelette and trace over it with the stylus. Try to be as accurate as possible.
5. Together with Lovelitchi
   • Costume: Weather forecaster
   • Gameplay: Help Lovelitchi make the weather sunny. Move the fan up and down with the stylus to blow the clouds away. You have clear the whole sky before the timer runs out to win.
6. Vampire's Resurrection
   • Costume: Nun
   • Gameplay: Prevent the bats from getting into Vampire Mametchi's coffin and resurrecting him. Move Sister Lovelin with stylus, and move her in front of the bats to block them. Each time a bat gets into the coffin, it opens up a little more. If the coffin opens up all the way, you lose. In order to win, you have to prevent the coffin from opening up entirely before the timer runs out. Sometimes Hapihapitchi will appear and drop garlic. If you collect it, the coffin will close a certain amount.
7. My Master
   • Costume: Ninja
   • Gameplay: You have to move Ninja Lovelitchi across the river without getting noticed by Kuchipatchi on the bridge. Click on the 'Go' button to make Lovelitchi swim. Click on the Ninjitsu Art of Water Escape scroll to stop and hide underwater. When an exclamation mark appears over Kuchipatchi's head, you will have to hide. You must collect a certain number of shells before the timer runs out to win. Avoid obstacles in the water, such as swordfish and octopuses, which can make Lovelitchi drop the shells. Sometimes a heart power-up will appear in the water. Collect it to make all obstacles disappear for a short amount of time.
9. Tama Expedition
   • Costume: Mountain Climber
   • Gameplay: Move Lovelitchi left and right with the stylus as she scales the mountain. Avoid rocks and rolling boulders, and collect flowers. If you hit a rock or boulder, Lovelitchi will be temporarily stunned. You have to make it to the top of the mountain before the timer runs out.
10. Tama Sports
    • Costume: Golfer
    • Gameplay: Swipe the stylus across the screen to hit the golf balls. You must swipe in the right direction to get the golf ball in the hole. You must get a certain number of golf balls in the hole before the timer runs out to win.
11. Tamagotchi Magic
    • Costume: Witch
    • Gameplay: Look at the item in the top right corner of screen. Then pick out the item from the bunch that matches and put it in the cauldron. If you add the wrong item, the cauldron explodes, and the game ends. You only have a short amount of time to put all of the ingredients in the flask. After you've added all of the correct items, stir the potion by moving the stylus left and right. You must complete a certain number of successful potions to win.
12. Inquiry Tamago☆
    • Costume: Secretary
    • Gameplay: Call Tamagotchis by dialing the phone numbers at the bottom of the screen. You must enter the phone number correctly to call the right Tamagotchi. You have to make a certain number of correct calls before the timer runs out to win.
13. Soon, a Touchdown
    • Costume: Cheerleader
    • Gameplay: Tap the trampoline each time Lovelitchi lands on it to make her jump high. For her final jump, you have to tap on the platform so she lands on it.
14. Passionate Tamadalucía
    • Costume: Flamenco Dancer
    • Gameplay: Move Lovelitchi back and forth with the stylus and catch the roses thrown to her by the crowd. You have to catch a certain number of roses before the timer runs out to win.

    • Gameplay: Prepare the ingredients correctly to make a meal. First, select the correct ingredients based on the recipe, and put them in the sink. Then, move the stylus back and forth across the sink to rinse the ingredients. Next, swipe the stylus across the ingredients to slice them. After that, stir the ingredients together in a pot or frying pan. If you make two or more errors while cooking, or fail to complete the meal before the timer runs out, you lose.

    • Gameplay: Swipe the stylus over the crystal ball to make a vision appear. You must make a certain number of visions appear before the timer runs out to win.
18. Tamatama Begin Painting Class
    • Costume: Painter
    • Gameplay: Move the stylus over the silhouette to paint a picture. Try paint as much of the silhouette as possible, and not paint outside the lines. Tap the palette when you are finished.
19. Stylitchi's Exciting Behind the Scenes
