Melodytchi's Tama Profy

Tama Profy, also known as Tama Profiles, is a device powered by Tama Hearts that appeared in the original Tamagotchi! anime series. Lovelitchi and Melodytchi use their Profys to collect Tama Hearts during the Tama Heart arc in the series.

Design

The Profy's menu

The Tama Profy is similar in size and function to a touch tablet or smartphone. The Profy is shaped like a rectangle and seems to have an infrared port on the top. The faceplate is white and decorated with a crown, a Tama Heart, and sparkles. The sides of the Profy are slightly raised and have a triangular design. Melodytchi's Profy is purple while Lovelitchi's is pink.

The Profy is entirely operated through the touch screen. When active, the screen shows four icons which seems to have these functions:

• Book: Contains the user's profile and other profiles they collected
• Chest: Stores all the Tama Hearts that are collected
• Mail: Allows the user to send messages to other Profy users
• Melody Charm: Allows the user to play the Melody Charm so they can collect a Tama Heart or use its powers.

When Kizunatchi is inside the Profy she is able to interact with the menu. She can take Tama Hearts from the Treasure Chest icon and push them outside for the Profy for use or show them to Lovelitchi or Melodytchi. Kizunatchi can also make the Profy slightly move if she is excited or agitated.

In "Is This a Confession? Mystery Profile", the trend of exchanging pieces of paper with fun facts about the writer to other Tamagotchis became a hit at Tamagotchi School. The Tama Profys came from Mametchi trying to make a Profile machine that could create profile pages as Lovelitchi complained about having to individually write her information for every page she wanted to share with others.

He creates the machine in "Hello! Big Mix-up in the Profile Machine?" which was huge in size and created pages based on information the user gave it. However, it exploded upon trying to print the pages. He creates two more machines which also explode in the same way. The third machine manages to teleport Tomomi to Tamagotchi Planet as its communication waves got mixed with her phone's waves.

Mametchi builds a fourth Tama Profy in "Formation! Tama Profy" using Tomomi's cellphone as inspiration. The Profys were compact sized and could not print pages like the previous prototypes, but could still display the user's profile and send them as messages. Mametchi wanted to give Lovelitchi and Melodytchi the Tama Profys he made, but waited until after they performed Happy Heart for the Gotchi King and Princess Tamako.

After the performance, Mametchi showed them the Profys which started reacting to Melodytchi and Lovelitchi's glowing Melody Charms. Then, the two fused together, changing the appearance of the Tama Profys. Lovelitchi's became pink and Melodytchi's became purple. A giant Tama Heart appeared from a stained glass window in the castle, split in two, and went inside the two Tama Profys. From that point in the series, Melodytchi and Lovelitchi would collect Tama Hearts in their Profys whenever one appeared from a strong bond being formed.

After the two collected a Tama Heart from the Tama Desert in "Who Are You? Wake Up, Kizunatchi", Lovelitchi discovers a small pink Tamagotchi called Kizunatchi living inside her Profy. The Tama-friends learn that she is meant to help them collect and identify Tama Hearts in "Full of Mystery! Kizunatchi". She is later freed from the Profy after many hearts are collected in "Miracle White Christmas!", though she still has the ability to enter them to sleep.

In "Full of Mystery!? Ha Island and Hatokamitchi", Hatokamitchi has Kizunatchi take the Tama Profys and release all the collected Tama Hearts to summon a mysterious plate on the island. When the plate is unable to be summoned, Hatokamitchi encourages Kizunatchi to collect more hearts. Enough hearts are finally collected in "Tamagotchi Planet's Pinch! Can Kizunatchi Save It!?" and Kizunatchi uses them to release the plate and start the ritual to end the Eggification curse and save the world.

A replica toy of the Tama Profys called Tama Heart Collection Tama Profy (たま ハート コレクション たま プロフィ Tama Hāto Korekushon Tama Purofi) was released on October 31, 2011 for 4,179 ¥.

The goal of the Tama Heart Collection Profy is to collect all 120 Tama Hearts through playing games, connecting to other Profys, collecting profiles, and inserting secret passwords. The Profy features all 32 characters from the Tamagotchi iD L to play games with and also features a mode where the user can take care of Kizunatchi.
