Princess Tamako (たまこ姫 Tamako Hime) is an adult female character that debuted on the Tamagotchi Connection Version 5 Celebrity. She is the daughter of the Gotchi King and the Gotchi Queen, and the older sister of Princess Tamakoko.
Name Origin[]
Tama is Japanese for 'round', and ko is a suffix used with girls' names. Her name might also be a pun on the word tamago, which is Japanese for 'egg' and is the root of Tamagotchi.
Appearance[]
Princess Tamako has a round head with blonde hair done up in a bun. She has white skin and pink cheeks. Her eyes are oval-shaped, and each one has two sparkles and four eyelashes. She has a small mouth which is similar to a cat's. She wears a pink dress which billows out. The dress has two layers, and each layer has a row of lace around the bottom, and several little white bows. The dress also has a red collar and a golden brooch. Princess Tamako has a pink crown with dark pink gems on it atop her head.
Personality[]
Princess Tamako is generally kind and friendly. She loves to have fun, but she has an elegant nature as well. However, sometimes she breaks out of her proper composure, such as when she burst into uncontrollable laughter in an episode of Let's Go! Tamagotchi. She has an edge of determination to her. In the Tamagotchi! anime, she once set out with Mametchi and his friends to find a cure when her father got sick. Although Prince Tamahiko has deep feelings for her, she does not want him to be her prince, and she politely but firmly rejects his marriage proposals.
In Tamagotchi Corner Shop 2, she is shown to be very curious, especially about running shops and going to Tamagotchi School.

Princess Tamako is obtainable in the Active group and is obtained from having a bonding of 800-999 or 80-100%.
Princess Tamako is also part of the Gotchi King Family. First, the player must raise a Rosutchi and have it marry Prince Tamahiko. Then Rosutchi and Prince Tamahiko become the Gotchi King and Gotchi Queen, and their children will become Princess Tamako and Princess Tamakoko. If Princess Tamako marries Tamastatchi at 100% bonding, she will become Gotchi Queen, maintaining the Royal Family status.
She also appears on the tie-in website, Tama & Earth EXPO. She can be seen on the Royal Cruise Ship, and plays a cello.
Tamagotchi iD L.[]
Princess Tamako is a special raisable character exclusive to the 15th Anniversary version of the Tamagotchi iD L. If the player has connected with the same friend at least thirty times during the teen stage of their Tamagotchi, it will evolve into Princess Tamako. She can be obtained from any female teen.
Tamagotchi m!x[]
Princess Tamako is exclusive to the 20th Anniversary and Gift versions of the m!x. She appears as an NPC that can be befriended and married at Gotchi King's Castle.

Tamagotchi: The Movie[]
Princess Tamako appears at the end of Tamagotchi: The Movie with the royal family celebrating Gotchi King's birthday.
Let's Go! Tamagotchi[]
Princess Tamako appeared in the episode "Gotchi King Doesn't Laugh?!". Mametchi, Memetchi, and Kuchipatchi pay a visit to Gotchi King's Castle, and Princess Tamako is there to greet them. When Kuchipatchi starts making silly mistakes, she tries to suppress her giggles, only to burst into laughter later on.
Tamagotchi![]
Princess Tamako appears as a recurring character in the Tamagotchi! series. In "No Boys Allowed! The Princess Day Party" she invites the girls of Ms. Perfect's class to a party at the royal palace for Girl's Day. After the boys from the same class crash the party, she takes pity on them and allows them to stay along with Gotchi King and Prince Tamahiko.
In "Formation! Tama Profy", Princess Tamako explains the history and lore of Tama Hearts to the Tama-friends after they collected one from a mysterious plate in the castle courtyard. She encourages them to collect more hearts, believing that they must be destined to collect them all with their Tama Profys. From that point on in the series, the Tama-friends would visit her when they learned more about Tama Hearts in their adventures, such as in "Full of Mystery! Kizunatchi" and "Happy to Be Outside! Kizunatchi".
Himespetchi tries to bring an amnesiac Prince Tamahiko to Princess Tamako in "Flustered! I've Lost My Memory!?" in the hopes that seeing her will bring his memories back. However, she does not want to see him and tries hiding from him to Himespetchi's annoyance. When Tamahiko gets hit in the head and regains his memories he immediately proposes to Tamako who promptly rejects him.
In "Pinch! Gotchi King Is Boiling!?" she sets out with Mametchi and friends to find a Crystal Crown to cure her father after he catches a disease. They successfully find the crown after Princess Tamako unveils it by crying into a pool of water out of worry for her father. Sphinquiztchi explains that the crystal crown only appears when it senses a strong bond by whoever needs it.

In the "Tamagottsun ♥ Big Meeting!?", she makes a brief appearance with the Gotchi King.

Tamagotchi Corner Shop series[]
Princess Tamako appears in all three Tamagotchi Corner Shop games. In Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop, she visits the player's shops when they are ready to upgrade to royal status. In Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop 2, she appears everytime the player upgrades to a new status. She is also an unlockable character in this game. After the player upgrades all the shops to royal status, they can choose Princess Tamako as a partner, although data will not be saved, and only certain customers will appear; the Royal Servants, Gotchi Queen, Gotchi King and Prince Tamahiko. In Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop 3, she appears only when the shops upgrade to royal status, like the first game.

Gotchi King is Princess Tamako's father and the king of Tamagotchi Planet. He is cheerful, but sometimes acts childish and tells egg puns instead of acting responsible. Princess Tamako usually ends up scolding him and telling him what to do.

Gotchi Queen is Princess Tamako's mother and the queen of Tamagotchi Planet. She is a sweet and kind mother who worries over her two daughters, sometimes following them incognito to make sure they're okay.
