Tamagotchi Channel artwork

The Mamemame Laboratory (まめまめ研究所 Mamemame Kenkyūjo) is a large building in Mame City.  It is the laboratory where many scientists go to in order to conduct research and produce cutting edge technology.

Appearance[]

The Mamemame Laboratory looks like a large, tall blue rectangular building. There is a large clear sphere on top of the building with a decoration that looks like a Tamagotchi head inside. There are four large screws on the front of building. A fence surrounds the entire building and nearby area. There is a tightrope leading from the top of the building into the Mame International School.

Originally, official artwork depicted the building as being mostly blue and yellow, and sitting on top of a large hill. In the anime, the building appears to be mostly blue and purple, and is on flat ground.

Mamemame Laboratory from Tamagotchi: The Movie

In Tamagotchi: The Movie, the scientists work at Mamemame Laboratory to find out why Tamagotchi Planet has a cold, and to look for Sunnytchi. They build a rocket ship to deliver cold medicine to the planet, but Mametchi, along with his friends, sneak aboard and flies it to space to deliver the medicine and look for Sunnytchi themselves. The parents of the Tamagotchi onboard the ship and Mametchi's class later come inside the laboratory to watch over Mametchi's mission in space.

Tamagotchi: Happiest Story in the Universe![]

When a magical paper tornado threatens to swallow Celebria and turn all of Tamagotchi Planet into a book, the scientists convene to figure out how to stop it.

Tamagotchi![]

Mamemame Laboratory is a reoccurring location in the Tamagotchi! anime series. In "What? Swapping Personalities!", Mametchi and Chamametchi go to the lab to deliver lunch to Papamametchi, but end up locked in a room and activating a machine that fuses them into MameChaMametchi. In "Super Heroine! Birth of Telelin!", the ancient Gotchi King allows Mamemametchi to start his own laboratory after he saves the town from overgrown mame bean plants. The laboratory would eventually become Mamemame Laboratory.

In "Piko Piko Copy! Papamametchi", Mametchi creates a cloning machine to clone Papamametchi so his family can spend time with him while he's busy at work. The machine eventually backfires and creates a crowd of Papamametchi clones, forcing the Mame family to make a run for the laboratory so the real Papamametchi can fix the clone problem. When Mametchi finally figures out how to send Tomomi back home to Earth in "Tomomi Decision! To the Earth, everyone gathers at the laboratory to say goodbye to her as she uses a teleporting machine to return home.

The scientist work overtime in "Fashion! The Best? Eggs of Style" to figure out a cure for the eggification curse that was beginning to affect all of Tamagotchi Planet. The following episode "Shock! The Eggification Doesn't Stop", has Papamametchi discover a hidden letter from Mamemametchi addressed to Mametchi, saying there's a Mysterious Plate that could help him. He leads Mametchi and friends deep into the underground storage area of the laboratory to find it and the power of the plate restores Kizunatchi's energy and gives an answer on how to fight against the eggification curse.

By "Tamagotchi Planet's Pinch! Can Kizunatchi Save It!?", all scientists at the lab except Papamametchi have fallen to the curse. Papamametchi directs Mametchi on how to save Tamagotchi Planet using what they learned from last episode before turning into an egg himself.

GO-GO Tamagotchi![]

In "Tamagottsun ♥ Big Meeting!?" of GO-GO Tamagotchi!, Papamametchi and Mamehakasetchi study the Tamagottsun at the Mamemame Laboratory.
