Sekitoritchi (せきとりっち Sekitoritchi) is an adult character that debuted on the second generation of the original Tamagotchi in Japan and on the Tamagotchi Connection Version 3 internationally.
Name Origin[]
The word せきとり is the Japanese term for a sumo wrestler who is rank juryo or above. His unused English name comes from the word "Sumo".
Appearance[]
Sekitoritchi has a very human-like form, with a large balding head, chubby arms, and a wide torso - several of his sprites suggest that he has a large nose similar to a human's as well. His bottom portion is a mawashi (sumo wrestling belt), with the dangling strings either acting as his legs or completely obscuring them - several images of Sekitoritchi with the mawashi removed from a number of Tamagotchi manga suggest that they are indeed his legs.
Personality[]
This Tamagotchi is lean, mean, and is very good at fighting. He went into war when he was young, explaining why he acts stubborn and is rebellious. Despite aiming to be a master sumo wrestler, he hates physical training and sumo stew. He also has a secret passion for hula dancing.

Tamagotchi (Generation 2)[]
Sekitoritchi is a secret character on the first Japanese version. The user must first raise a Zuccitchi from a Tongaritchi that started with 0% Discipline. From there, the user must provide good to perfect care, with no care mistakes. Zuccitchi will evolve into Sekitoritchi around the age of 10. If the Discipline meter is not entirely filled at the time of evolution, it will fill to 100% immediately upon evolving. Sekitoritchi wakes at 9 AM, sleeps at 10 PM, and has a base weight of 30. Like Mimitchi, he has a longer life span than other adults.
On the second Japanese version, he is replaced with Charitchi. On international versions, he is replaced with Zatchi.
On the 2017 Japanese replica, any Zuccitchi raised from any method may evolve into Sekitoritchi by the age of 18 if good care is maintained and the Discipline meter is filled.
Tamagotchi Connection Version 3[]
Sekitoritchi is a gender-neutral adult that can be obtained on even generations with severe neglect. Its base weight is 20 lb, and it sleeps from 10:15 PM to 10 AM. Its favorite food is BBQ, and it dislikes omelet.

Tamagotchi (GB)[]
Sekitoritchi evolves from Zuccitchi (as usual) with good care or Maskutchi with poor care and can evolve into Bill. It, along with Oyajitchi, are exclusive to the Japanese version under normal conditions with Zuccitchi and Maskutchi evolving straight to Bill on the international release. However, both region-exlusive adults can still be obtained with by external means (i.e., Glitches) nonetheless.
Tamagotchi Town[]
Sekitoritchi evolves from Tongaritchi or Hashitamatchi with 14 or more stress.
Sega Saturn de Hakken!! Tamagotchi Park[]
Sekitoritchi evolves from Zuccitchi. It may occasionally lay an egg that will hatch into ChibiRomtchi and unlock the Sega line.

- Sekitoritchi appeared briefly on Bandai America's page back in 1997, under the same "Sumotchi", despite never appearing on the US P2 toys.
- USA-style artwork for "Sumotchi" appeared in a series of official Spanish trading cards, along with Oyajitchi.
- He was present in the 15th Anniversary Character Poll as a male adult candidate, but did not get enough votes to make it on the Tamagotchi iD L's roster.
