The Keitai Kaitsuu Tamagotchi Plus Akai (usually shortened to Akai Tamagotchi Plus or simply the Akai) is a Japanese Tamagotchi released in July 2005. It is based on the Keitai Kaitsuu Tamagotchi Plus.

This Tamagotchi has red pixels as opposed to the black pixels of most Tamagotchi, which is why the title has "Plus Akai", which means "Plus Red" in Japanese. It has some new characters as well. There are new foods and different games.

[edit] Heartchi
Hearttchi （はーとっち Haatotchi） is seen on Akai as well as in Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop for the Nintendo DS. He is a male baby character, and looks like an upside down heart.

Shiroheartchi （しろはーとっち Shirohaatotchi） is also seen on both Akai and in the Nintendo DS game Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop. She is a female baby character and looks like a white heart with legs.

Cherrytchi （ちぇりっち Chieritchi） is a child character that resembles a cherry.

Darumatchi （だるまっち Darumatchi） is a straightforward adolescent Tamagotchi who'd never tell a lie. He rolls around, making his opinions known.

Tomatchi （とまっち Tomatchi） looks like a tomato with legs. He is also in the adolescent stage.

Ribbotchi (りぼっち Ribotchi) is an adult Tamagotchi who likes cute things. Her polka-dot ribbon is well suited.

Tengutchi (てんぐっち Tengutchi) is another adult Tamagotchi, based on the mythological tengu. He is known for his long nose, red body and sandals. He can fly using the wings on his back, and several Tengutchi may form to fly in a flock.

[edit] "Throw Away Poopie" Game
Similar to the "Get the Notes" game on the original Keitai Kaitsuu Tamagotchi Plus, the player has to try and catch the poopies and avoid the Gotchi. Small poopies are worth 1 point, and large poopies are worth 2 points.
[edit] Mail Game
Similar to the Basketball game on the original Keitai Kaitsuu Tamagotchi Plus, the player must press "B" at the right moment to make their Tamagotchi jump. The difference is that the Tamagotchi knocks letters into a postbox rather than a ball into a net.
[edit] Swimming Game
Similar to the Racing Game on the original Keitai Kaitsuu Tamagotchi Plus, the player chooses which place they predict their Tamagotchi will come in during a competition. Three Tamagotchi swim from one end of a pool to the other.
