Kusatchi (くさっち) is an adult character that debuted on the Tamagotchi Generation 2, and the Version 2. She recently appeared as a child character on the Tamagotchi iD L 15th Anniversary Version.
Kusatchi shares her facial appearance with Hashitamatchi. She has a stem which can be seen inside a brown flower pot and two green leaves on the side. On the Tamagotchi L.i.f.e. app, Kusatchi can also be pink, or brown with a pink beak and yellow leaves.
Because Kusatchi is a plant, she can make her own chlorophyll to feed herself, when nobody else is around to feed her.
Kusatchi also hangs out with the other unhealthy Tamagotchi and listens to heavy metal music and is also said to be very vain.
The Nintendo Power guide to the Tamagotchi Gameboy game stated: "This strange plant-like creature needs lots of sun (for photosynthesis) but just a little food. It likes to stay up all night and sleep during the day."
Kusatchi's name comes from kusa, the Japanese word for grass.

Tamagotchi Generation 2
Kusatchi appears as the worst possible adult, and can be achieved from either Tongaritchi or Hashitamatchi with extreme neglect. Kusatchi has an incredibly short life span, only living 2 or 3 days at best.
Kusatchi is a gender-neutral average-health adult that appears in odd-numbered generations. It sleeps from 10 PM to 8 AM and its base weight is 30 LB. Its favourite food is melon and its least favourite food is meat.
Kusatchi appears as a female toddler that can be obtained randomly from Marutchi or Memeputchi. She can evolve into Morutchi or Mikazukitchi. Due to appearing in an earlier growth stage, Kusatchi sleeps three hours earlier than in her first two appearances. She sleeps from 7 PM to 7 AM.
In Tamagotchi Media
Kusatchi Modoki (くさっちもどき) is a variation of Kusatchi exclusive to 64 de Hakken! Tamagotchi Minna de Tamagotchi World. It can be achieved through winning a game with Kusatchi. It resembles Kusatchi, except its head is green with a a beak similar to Kuchipatchi's, sharp teeth, narrow eyes, and curled arm-like stems instead of two leaves. The word "Modoki" means "imitation".
- On the online Tamatown for V3 and V4, there is a CD in The Tama Beat store in the Mall that has a Kusatchi on it.
