Kowamotetchi, also known as Stuntmantchi in the English dub, is a male Tamagotchi character who appeared in the Tamagotchi! anime.
Name Origin[]
"Kowamote" in Japanese means "Scary Face". Stuntman refers to a person who acts out dangerous acts for film or TV.
Appearance[]
Kowamotetchi has a tall and slender olive green body. He wears a ragged and dirty maroon shirt and there are dark blue patches stitched on to his head and left arm. There are spikes on top of his head and a black beard surrounds his lips. His eyes always look angry. When Kowamotetchi takes off his head, it's revealed that he's actually a Tamagotchi in costume.
His actual head is round and yellow and there are two brown antennae on top. He has small eyes and a light muzzle.
Personality[]
When in costume and acting in character for a show, Kowamotetchi has a tough attitude and acts like a bully which intimidates those who don't know he's in costume. When not in costume, Kowamotetchi is shown to be soft spoken with a kind spirit.
In the Anime[]
Tamagotchi![]
Kowamotetchi works at TAMAX-TV as an actor, usually acting as a thug in TV shows. He first appears in "Go-Go! TAMAX-TV Tour" where Spacytchi is frightened by his appearance and thinks he is also planning on taking over Tamagotchi Planet. After following him to a cafe, Kowamotetchi takes off his mask and reveals his actual appearance. He then gives the Spacytchi brothers the bread he just bought, thinking they were hungry.
In "Chop! Gotchi Slices!", he plays the role of a street thug who steals a royal treasure and threatens to hurt Princess Lovelin who stole it back. Mametchi no Suke then comes in time to defeat him and his gang. In "Stealth! Heading Out! Princess Lovelin", he tries to steal Melodytchi's money and later successfully steals her violin after cornering her. Mametchi no Suke defeats him again and returns the violin back to its owner.
Kowamotetchi teams up with Necktietchi for a quiz competition in "Tah-Dah! Opposing Program Quiz Battle". He enters an eating contest in "Go Go! Gluttony! Kuchipatchi VS Kuishinbotchi", but gets overwhelmed by the fourth round and can't finish his plate of spaghetti. In "Wasshoi! TAMAX-TV Festival / Dodonto! Big Gathering of Popular Programs" Kowamotetchi walks around the festival in his street thug outfit and guests are tasked with "catching" him to win a reward. However, no one finds him and Kowamotetchi becomes tired from walking around, eventually taking off his headpiece to nap on a bench.
