Special Asian Designs
The Special Asian Designs (アジア版 Asian Editions) are a selection of special edition shells released in May 1997 celebrating countries in the Asia-Pacific and Oceania regions. Six shells were produced for each generation for a total of twelve, and all units are in English, regardless of the country of origin. The Hong Kong special edition P1 is sometimes considered part of this collection, despite being based on a city instead of a country. The packaging includes a gold foil star on the front reading "Special Asian Design", and a certificate of authenticity is inside.
