General

  • COPPA law: In accordance with Fandom's ToU and the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), users under the age of 13 (16 in the EEA, not including the UK) are not allowed to be editors on the wiki. If a user is revealed to be underage, please calmly report it with evidence to an administrator. Do not accuse someone of being underage in the discussion space or their talk page.
  • As young people browse the wiki, please keep things family friendly:
    • Do not post NSFW content. This includes sexual or overly graphic images, texts, or links. Questionable content may be deleted at mod's discretion.
    • Severe profanity (such as the f-word or s-word) is not allowed in posts or comments, even when censored. Minor profanity such as hell or damn is allowed as long as it's not directed towards another user or frequent in use.
  • No ban evasion: If you have been banned and return on a new account, your new account will be banned and your original account will get an extended ban.
  • No spam or vandalizing: Spamming, trolling, or vandalizing of any kind will be deleted and will lead to your account being banned. This includes gibberish and nonsensical posts.
  • Discussion of the Harry Potter Tamagotchi, HP franchise, and JK Rowling is currently prohibited throughout the wiki. See announcement here for context.

Discussions

Rules

Discussions are a space where users of the community may chat and interact about the Tamagotchi franchise. The general rules of the wiki apply in Discussions, among specific rules that can be read here:

  1. Be nice and treat people with respect. Keep discussions civil and be open-minded about differing opinions. Please do not argue, insult, threaten, harass, purposefully offend, or disrespect users or their opinions.
  2. As young people browse the wiki, please keep things family friendly. Do not post NSFW content. This includes sexual or overly graphic images, texts, or links. Questionable content may be deleted at mod's discretion. Severe profanity (such as the f-word or s-word) is not allowed in posts or comments, even when censored. Minor profanity such as hell or damn is allowed as long as it's not directed towards another user or frequent in use.
  3. No ban evasion. If you have been banned and return on a new account, your new account will be banned and your original account will get an extended ban.
  4. Spamming, trolling, or vandalizing of any kind will be deleted and will lead to your account being banned. This includes gibberish and nonsensical posts.
  5. No posts or comments calling out a specific user (whether on the wiki or another website) to point out something bad they did or shame them. This includes making posts to explain or apologize for drama you're involved in. This also extends to complaining or discussing drama in or about other communities. If the user is on the wiki, please contact a mod with relevant information and they will investigate and follow up with you.
    1. If a user is breaking the rules, you may politely warn them of such. However, if they continue and refuse to stop, then you must contact a mod. Avoid escalating the situation or attacking the user as it can lead to a warning/ban if you are hostile.
  6. When posting art that someone else made, credit the artist by putting their username and the platform the art was posted on in the post or comments.
  7. Ask for help. Notice something that doesn't seem right? Or do you just have a question? Contact Fandom staff through "Give feedback" on your app's Settings screen, or via community.wikia.com/wiki/Special:Contact.
