Violetchi's NamesEdit

Furawatchi & Violetchi
Japanese Furawatchi (Pink) on the left and American Violetchi (Purple) on the right.

Although Violetchi's Japanese name literally translates into "Flowertchi", her name outside Japan has changed several times. This is due to a character Bandai introduced on the Tamagotchi Connection Version 2, named Flowertchi.

A press kit sent to TamaTalk suggested that on the V2, she was no different but her name had been changed to "Korotchi", and no artwork of her character was provided, although this hasn't been confirmed. Another press kit sent for the V3 suggested that she was recolored green, had her green flower changed to blue, and was named "Leaftchi". This hasn't been confirmed.  Despite this, "Leaftchi" appeared as the Keitai's "Furawatchi" when visiting TamaTown.

In Tamagotchi Corner Shop games and  in the later releases of the Connection series, starting with the V4, she had her color darkened to a purple color, and kept the name "Violetchi". This has become her name outside Japan; all merchandise and images, and in regards to the virtual pets, have the same dark color and are all named "Violetchi". In Tamagotchi Corner Shop 2, she keeps her name "Violetchi" and maintains her original pink skin. In the anime, however, her name is her original "Flowertchi" and maintains her original pink skin like in the Corner Shop 2.

Anime VioletchiEdit

Anime version of Furawatchi
Violetchi is a minor character in Tamagotchi: The Movie and Let's Go! Tamagotchi. Despite the naming difficulty associated with her, the dub officially uses her original name Flowertchi. In the dub, she is portrayed by Veronica Taylor.

The seventh episode of the series, Do You Remember, Flowertchi?, describes that Flowertchi once knew more about tending the school's flowers than making friends. However, an incident with Memetchi sparked a strong friendship between the two, and Flowertchi eventually became popular with her classmates.

Flowertchi also made an appearance in "Helping at McDonald's", where she worked alongside Mametchi, Memetchi, and Kuchipatchi to assist Makdotchi. She also appears in "Mametchi's Picture Diary" and "Hapihapitchi is Popular?!".[[zh:紫羅蘭吉|

]] In the newer Tamagotchi! anime, Flowertchi is often seen with Makiko and Memetchi. She hates it when they fight and often uses flowers to help her settle their argument. In episode 25, a flower causes Flowertchi to think of Gozarutchi as her "prince charming", and tries various ways to get his attention, such as dressing in a Samba outfit, acting like Tarzan in school, and singing songs to Gozarutchi. However, she soon appears to lose interest in him because the flower changes, and starts trying to poke him with a staff.

VariationsEdit

UraVioletchiEdit

UraVioletchi (ウラふらわっち UraFurawatchi) is an alternative form of Violetchi that debuted on the Ura Jinsei Enjoy Tamagotchi Plus, and later the Tamagotchi Connection Version 4.5. She appears similar to Violetchi, except that she has antennas, wings, and larger flowers on her head. UraVioletchi is an adult character in the UraMeme group, gained from a majority of "Passion" skill points. She is usually pink.

UraVioletchi is a temptress with a sweet smell. The golden dust from her wings is able to attract to all the boys. Her favorite food is apple pie.

UraYoungVioletchiEdit

UraYoungVioletchi (ウラやんぐふらわっち UraYanguFurawatchi) is the "young" counterpart to UraVioletchi, with smaller wings and flower buds, and no antennae. UraYoungVioletchi is pure and innocent. She makes a wish on the stars each night that her flowers will blossom soon. She adores UraVioletchi.

UraYoungVioletchi is the female worse care teenager for the UraMeme group. Allowing Hanekotchi to contract 4 care mistakes and not reverse them with the petite star medicine (costs 1400G in UraTama Town) by the time she graduates from kindergarten will result in evolution to UraYoungVioletchi. You may want to play safe when you attempt to get her and any other bad care teenager by curing all of her care mistakes immediately after she evolves from her child stage.
