Violetchi (ばいおれっち Baioretchi) also known as Flowertchi (ふらわっち Furawatchi), and occasionally Leaftchi or Korotchi, is an adult character that debuted as a debug only character on on the Tamagotchi Connection Version 1 before appearing officially on the Keitai Kaitsuu Tamagotchi Plus. She is a recurring staple adult. On the Keitai, Tamagotchi Connection Version 2, and Tamagotchi Connection Version 3, Violetchi was originally any gender, but she has stayed female since the release of Chou Jinsei Enjoi Tamagotchi Plus. Violetchi was originally obtained with perfect care and was often compared to Mametchi. In recent releases, she is an average care character and in the iD L and its special editions she was obtained with bad care.

On the Tamagotchi Connection Version 5 her male counterpart is Sukatchi. Her birthday is on April 8.

Personality

Violetchi likes flowers and loves smelling them. She loves all beautiful things. Some of her other hobbies include drawing pictures and going on bike rides. Her favorite color is pink.

According to her brother Kizatchi she is allergic to flowers, despite them being her favourite things. He also says she has a "cute" sneeze. Violetchi knows so much about flowers that each one has a different meaning to her. She even guides herself and her friends with them. She also enjoys gardening and enjoys observing them as they bloom.

Violetchi's personality could be considered to contain yurufuwa (ゆるふわ)-type qualities. The term "yurufuwa" is a combination of "yurui"/"yuruyuru" (ゆるい/ゆるゆる loose, lenient, easygoing) and "fuwari"/"fuwafuwa" (ふわり/ふわふわ light, gentle, soft) and refers to something that is relaxing, easygoing, warm and gentle, which effectively sums up Violetchi's nature. Her Japanese name, Furawatchi, could be a reference to this.

Violetchi's Names

Furawatchi & Violetchi

Japanese Furawatchi (Pink) on the left and American Violetchi (Purple) on the right.

Although Violetchi's Japanese name literally translates into "Flowertchi", she has multiple names, most of which are as those who live outside Japan address her. A name conflict occurred when a character exclusive the Tamagotchi Connection Version 2 named Flowertchi was introduced, causing her name to be changed to avoid confusion.

A press kit sent to TamaTalk suggested that on the V2 the name "Korotchi" was introduced and she had no artwork of her character as of 2005. Another press kit suggested that she was given a new skin color, green, and her green flower changed to blue. She was given the name "Leaftchi" with these changes. However, "Leaftchi" appeared as the Keitai's "Furawatchi" when visiting TamaTown.

Leaftchi

The entire Corner Shop series and in the later releases of the Connection series starting with the V4 introduced her final color, purple. Her final name, "Violetchi", was also introduced. This is how she appears outside Japan; in all merchandise and images, and in regards to the virtual pets, she has this color and name. In Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop 2 her name is not changed, but her skin color is reverted to her original pink skin color. In the anime, her name is reverted to "Flowertchi" and her skin colour does not change after it was reverted in Corner Shop 2.

In the Anime

Violetchi is a minor character in Tamagotchi: The Movie and Let's Go! Tamagotchi. She uses her Japanese name Flowertchi in the English dub.

As described in the Let's Go! Tamagotchi episode, "Do You Remember, Flowertchi?", given that Flowertchi had once spent all of her time tending the school's flowers, she didn't know how to make friends. However, following on from an incident with Memetchi, they became friends. Since then, Flowertchi became increasingly popular with her classmates.

Flowertchi also made an appearance in Helping at McDonald's, where she worked alongside Mametchi, Memetchi, and Kuchipatchi to assist Makdotchi. She also appears in Mametchi's Picture Diary and Hapihapitchi is Popular?!.

In the Tamagotchi! anime series, Flowertchi appears as a recurring character alongside with Mametchi and his friends. She is is often seen with Makiko and Memetchi. She hates it when they fight and often uses flowers to help her settle their argument. In episode 25, a flower causes Flowertchi to think of Gozarutchi as her "prince charming", and tries various ways to get his attention. However, she sometimes appears to lose interest in him when the flower changes. When this happens, she is likely to attempt to poke him with a staff.

In Tamagotchi! Yume Kira Dream and GO-GO Tamagotchi!, Violetchi only makes background appearances.

Her best friends are Melodytchi, Memetchi, Mametchi, Makiko, Lovelitchi, Kuchipatchi, and Ringotchi.

UraYoungVioletchi

Main Article Ura Young Violetchi

UraYoungVioletchi (ウラやんぐふらわっち UraYanguFurawatchi) is the "young" counterpart to UraVioletchi, with smaller wings and flower buds, and no antennae. UraYoungVioletchi is pure and innocent. She makes a wish on the stars each night that her flowers will blossom soon. She adores UraVioletchi.

UraYoungVioletchi is the female worse care teenager for the UraMeme group. Allowing Hanekotchi to contract 4 care mistakes and not reverse them with the petite star medicine (costs 1400G in UraTama Town) by the time she graduates from kindergarten will result in evolution to UraYoungVioletchi. You may want to play safe when you attempt to get her and any other bad care teenager by curing all of her care mistakes immediately after she evolves from her child stage.
